Imagine if you were treated like this at work in today’s day and age. Let some asshat like Baldwin talk to me like that…

The law firmNixon Peabody wins a Fortune award. (yipee!)
They make a gay song about it, here’s the story from Above The Law:
Lesson: big companies are complete tards when it comes to the web.
Tunak: WTF?
Christian game enthusiasts around the US are turning the world of Azeroth inside the new video game, “World of Warcraft” into a mission field, where virtual battles are fought and real souls are won to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Billy Houston, a Landover Baptist Senior High youth, has been sharing Jesus in the virtual gaming world for over three years. “I evangelized in Lineage 2, Everquest, Diablo, and a bunch of other games,” he says, “but I haven’t seen nearly as many people who are as open to hearing the Gospel message as I have inside the World of Warcraft.”

Hornets 1, Bees 0
Who knew that 30 hornets could wip 30,000 bees asses in 3 hours?

Assassin’s Creed looks damn interesting. It looks like the devs for this one really stepped outside the box and decided to do something fun and different. It’s just to bad it’s coming out for console players only… As we all know, consoles suck. Ubisoft will be releasing Assassin’s Creed for both the Xbox and the Playstation.
Below is a run through by one of the devs:
In an interview to Pacific Daily News, Sen. Ray Tenorio, a representative of the state of Guam, revealed that he is a World of Warcraft player… a serious level-70 Dwarf priest at that, too. He goes by the name of Paleray on the Silverhand server and is even a member of a guild.
Apparently, being a Senator from Guam doesn’t mean a lot of work. Also of note, he’s an idiot for giving his name/server out and will now be trolled forever.
Okay, so everyone knows about the Darwin Awards - the award given to people who die in the stupidist way. Here’s a video trailer for a show about these idiots:

The helmet, called Breathe Air, was created by 22-year-old Brunel University industrial design and technology student Luke Pannell.
Stephen Green, lecturer at Brunel University’s school of engineering and design, said: “Combining a helmet with effective filtering will provide considerably more reassurance to people whilst cycling.”
Whatever. It’s cool because you’ll look like a Star Wars storm trooper on a bicycle when you’re wearing your new uber-leet helmet of doom. Kids will be freakin’ running from you wherever you go. As a bonus, you might also get arrested
Heavy video gamers comprise only 2% of all gamers, yet they spent more than eight times on games than the average gamer did in the last quarter of 2006, according to NPD Group’s “Gamer Segmentation II” study, conducted in January 2007 among gamers ages 6 to 44.
These heavy gamers owned an average of 2.8 video game consoles, and played an average of 39.3 hours every week.

You might think, “Blimey. Is this photoshopped?”
No, they really do that. That’s typically the option I choose. They have one man, in particular, who is very gentle, and even gives you a reach-around.
AT&T Statement on NSA Issue
![]()
At AT&T, we vigorously protect our customers’ privacy and only share information as specifically authorized by the law.The news media have carried reports alleging that AT&T is participating in an unlawful NSA terrorist surveillance program. Unfortunately, the law does not permit AT&T to respond to those allegations.
The U.S. Department of Justice has stated that AT&T may neither confirm nor deny AT&T’s participation in the alleged NSA program because doing so would cause “exceptionally grave harm to national security” and would violate both civil and criminal statutes. Under these circumstances, AT&T is not able to respond to such allegations.
What we can say is AT&T is fully committed to protecting our customers’ privacy and would not provide customer information to any government agency except as specifically authorized under the law.

An armed gang of four kidnapped one of the world’s top RPG gamers after one criminal’s girlfriend lured him into a fake date using Orkut, Google’s social network. After sequestering him in Sao Paulo, they held a gun against the victim’s head for five hours to get his password, which they wanted to sell for $8,000. And yes, the story gets even better.
Surprisingly enough, after five hours the hostage wasn’t talking. The group leader had a gun against his head all that time but the guy didn’t say a word. At that point, the crooks gave up and decided to let him go. The brazilian police then caught the four suspects, aged 19 to 27.
Someone’s rage bar was at full, due to their shitty cell phone service. What better way to get back at the cheap-ass carriers than to commandeer a tank and drive over them? Hell, sounds good to me!

A FORMER Telstra worker allegedly stole a tank and used it to demolish six mobile phone towers as he led police on a wild two-hour rampage through western Sydney yesterday.
More than 20 police chased the tank but were powerless to stop it, retreating to a safe distance as the huge vehicle cut a path of destruction through six suburbs.
They could only watch as the driver, hanging out of the top at times, allegedly rammed the tank through fences and into six mobile phone towers, telecommunication relay sheds and an electrical substation.

There’s a really interesting article that all WoW players, and other gamers, should read up on VentureBeat. It’s called “Noob and other words worth thinking about“. Besides just being surprised to see an article covering WoW on a venture capitalist’s website, here are some of the takeaways:
1. Cry more, noob (or “less QQ, more PEWPEW”)
This was my favorite rule especially as it applies to start-ups. It was translated to me as, “don’t start by complaining about game mechanics before you know how the game works. Ask questions and get guidance before you assume the game is broken. Most likely the problem is that you do not know how to play the game. If you are inexperienced, show some humility – be willing to learn.”
2. Pay it Forward
“Don’t ask until you have helped others. People are more inclined to help you once they know you and see you as part of their ecosystem.”
3. There are no good secrets
Oh, man, this one was great – and so counter-intuitive. These two were chatting away about all of the game secrets. They shared their learning from within WoW and from the many postings outside of Wow (yes, these two are real game geeks). They were actively tapping in to each other’s genius – in order to help themselves and to solve the problem set of the day.
